Hedgerows help to define the uniqueness of the British countryside and are an important wildlife habitat. They require sympathetic management if we are to preserve them for future generations. The National Hedge Laying Society is dedicated to improving the understanding of hedgerows and improving the standards of hedgerow management throughout the UK

Drystone Walling Association of Great Britain (DSWA) was founded in 1968 in Kirkcudbrightshire, by the late Mrs Murray-Usher and the Stewartry Drystane Dyking Committee. Since those early days, the Association has continued to expand and currently has over 1300 members in the UK and overseas.

Hedgelaying Association of Ireland is registered as a public limited company and was founded in 2004 by a group of hedge layers and other interested individuals with the aim of encouraging and facilitating the conservation, protection and appropriate management of hedgerows.

Traditional Molecatchers offer two services, one for those with a mole problem who want an appropriate traditional solution to mole control and one for those who have the traditional molecatching skills.

The Great English Outdoors provides access to the wares of a shop in Hay-on-Wye that specialises in Welsh textiles, and hand made leatherwork and other decorative accessories for the house and garden.
